Guy T. Bernstein, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Guy Bernstein, M.D. was born in New Jersey, and graduated from Brown University. He received his medical degree from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University, where he graduated with honors and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center. He obtained his specialty training in The Harvard Program in Urology - Brigham and Women's Hospital - Boston Children's Hospital.
He joined Dr. Thompson in private practice in 1988, was certified by the American Board of Urology in 1990, and was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 1992.
Thomas Lanchoney, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Thomas Lanchoney, M.D., F.A.C.S., is originally from Ocean City, New Jersey and attended Cornell University where he was elected to the Phi Kappa Phi and Golden Key National Honor Societies. He graduated from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine in 1997, having also completed a research fellowship in molecular biology. Dr. Lanchoney completed his general surgery internship and urology residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology in 2004. In addition to practicing general urology, Dr. Lanchoney has a special interest in performing minimally invasive and robotic assisted surgery involving kidney, bladder, and prostate problems.
James W. Thompson, M.D., F.A.C.S. (Emeritus)
James W. Thompson, M.D., a native of Virginia, graduated from the University of Virginia with both a bachelor's and medical degree. He completed his internship and surgical residency at New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center and then served as a medical officer in the United States Navy. He continued his general surgery training at Duke University Medical Center and then completed a urology residency at Yale University Medical Center.
Dr. Thompson entered private practice in Bryn Mawr in 1967, was certified by the American Board of Urology in 1970, and was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 1974. He is a senior attending urologist at The Bryn Mawr Hospital, and is on the teaching faculty at Jefferson Medical College.
